Clouds today...some sun possible tomorrow

Thick clouds and a little drizzle will continue today with cool temperatures. We might see some sun tomorrow with a better chance of sun Saturday as drier air moves in behind a weak cold front. There could be some light rain or showers before the front slips through tomorrow, but no significant rain is expected. Temperatures will remain quite cool, but afternoons will be a bit milder tomorrow and Saturday...highly dependent on sunshine. Sunday will be similar with the warmest temperatures likely coming on Monday.
The holiday week still looks very interesting weather wise. Models are becoming more consistent with a pretty strong cold front that will blast through late Monday or early Tuesday which will lead to a chilly Wednesday and Thanksgiving. Acadiana will likely see some temps in the 30s...possibly the Houston area too. It'll be very breezy behind this front as well. Gusts up to 30-35 mph are likely on Tuesday.
Now lets talk rain next week. A few showers will be possible through the day Monday, but the best chance of showers, and maybe a few thunderstorms, will be right ahead and just behind the front as it moves through late Monday or early Tuesday. I do think there will be higher chances the farther east you go, so west of Houston might be mostly dry, but most of Acadiana will get wet. This will be a fast moving system, so that will greatly limit the amount of rain this front will squeeze out. If you see a batch of heavier rain or a thunderstorm, you could see 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Otherwise, rain amounts will likely be below 1/2 inch...for many areas. That should be it for rain through next week, but there could be a disturbance roll through next weekend to allow for some additional rain. Not looking like a drought buster, but it could help. Still a lot of uncertainty (not only in rain next weekend but temps too).
God Bless!
