Forecast on track...

Mornings will remain cool, but afternoons will continue to warm through the start of the weekend. Highs in the upper 80s are expected around Acadiana and near to just above 90F around Houston.

Humidity will rise late Saturday through Sunday, especially south of I-10, but clouds will be on the increase as well late this weekend which will continue to be the case next week. So, while we will be dealing with higher humidity Sunday and next week, clouds will help keep afternoon temperatures in check. But, when the sun makes more of an appearance, expect it to feel pretty hot in the afternoons.

Rain chances are still quite questionable. Well, there is not question that rain chances will be close to 0 through the weekend. However, there is still a lot of uncertainly how things will play out next week. A lot will depend on the evolution of hurricane Norma in the East Pacific and the timing of an upper level trough of low pressure moving through the Southern Rockies. We could see enough moisture for a few showers and thunderstorms by Monday and Tuesday (mainly for the Houston area), but its more likely significant rain chances will hold off until late in the week or the weekend as a front moving in from the northwest interacts with the Pacific moisture. It is still very uncertain on the timing and intensity of any potential rain.

As far as another shot of colder air, we could see that next weekend, but some of the models are holding off until the following week. Again, a lot of uncertainty. Thankfully we have something that is certain, God is good and we got some great weather right now.
