Humid and warm weather will continue

Acadiana seeing some more fog this morning and there is a good chance for some more tonight and early tomorrow. Increased winds should limit fog mid to late week.
Farther west, the Houston area saw some showers this morning, and a few brief showers will remain possible through the day today. They'll be some periods of sun outside of the limited shower activity so expect a very warm and humid day.
Acadiana is expect to stay rain free through the week, but things are trending a little wetter for the Houston area mid to late week. There is a little better chance of a few passing showers Wednesday in and around Houston, nothing too significant, with showers and a few thunderstorms becoming a bit more likely on Thursday as a trough (weak front / dry line) approaches from the west. Some areas should see some heavy downpours and a little lightning.
Friday through the weekend looks mostly settle (but warm and humid) from SE TX through Acadiana. That next significant cold front is currently slated for late Monday or Tuesday of next week which will bring higher rain chances and much colder air in. There is still a lot to be worked out on the timing and strength of the front, but everything is currently pointing towards MUCH colder air mid to late next week and a good chance of rain early to mid next week.
Enjoy the warmth (if you are in to that sort of thing... I am ) while its here but fall is coming back soon enough (maybe not soon enough for some).
God Bless.
