Its Happening!!!

Long range models are all throwing out the first good cold front of the fall next weekend! Of course there is a lot to be worked out as far as timing and strength, but all the medium to long range models are showing a good shot of cold air through the Rockies and Plains late next week and into the weekend. No need to dust off the Starter jackets yet, but I think it'll cool us enough to fill a little chill in the mornings this weekend. 50s are certainly a good possibility. We shall see.

Until then...it'll stay pretty hot for late September and early October the next several days. Humidity will trend downward over the weekend and into early next week, so it might not feel quite as bad. Rain chances will remain pretty low, but a few spots could see a downpour or two each day. Best rain chances will be today and tomorrow with a downward trend thereafter. Also, rain chances will be higher over the coastal counties of SE Texas (around 20% for Acadiana and 30-40% south of I-10 in SE TX).

Enjoy the heat while we have it!
