Mild and humid...late week front

A ridge of high pressure combined with light onshore flow will lead to mild and humid weather through the week with little to no rain. Morning fog will be possible each morning.

The next cold front is still slated for late in the week and its currently looking like a frontal passage for the Houston area Thursday night and Acadiana Friday morning. The extent of the shower and thunderstorm activity along and behind the front (most of the heaviest rain should come behind the front) is still in question, especially for Acadiana. The greater Houston area should get an inch or so (locally heavy amounts possible), but the farther east the system moves, moisture levels are not as high and there isn't as much lift supported by the upper level portion of this storm system. Hopefully there is enough rain to put an end to the elevated fire weather concerns across LA, but this system is certainly not a drought buster.

Have a Blessed week!
