Not enough rain

As I expected, the heavier rain models were too far north with the front and all the heavier rain stayed offshore. I didn't think they'd do so poorly though, especially over Louisiana. The Houston area got a good soaking, but in LA along the I-10 corridor and north, it wasn't much.

Going forward, the weather looks pretty good with cool temperatures. No big rain expected through the start of the weekend. Things definitely change by Thanksgiving week. The long range models are all over the place with the how things will evolve next week, but they are all showing the flow pattern buckle with a few different fronts and storms systems effecting the region. I think the real stormy activity may miss us to the east, but its way too early to tell. Just expect some swings in temps and coming and going of rain chances next week. I wouldn't be surprised if a little severe activity shows up at some point, especially near the coast.
