Warm and wet

It'll remain very humid and wet, but not wet from the rain. Heavy dew continues this morning as well as some fog in some areas. We'll see a bit more clouds cover in the coming days, so that could change the dew and fog situation at times.

The clouds will also help the heat in the afternoons. They'll be pretty hit or miss though. Hopefully it'll be more hit than miss during the afternoon hours. When we get more sun in the afternoons, it'll feel like lower 90s temperatures. Wednesday through Friday, clouds do look thicker as we get stronger flow off of the Gulf of Mexico and deeper moisture moves in.

Despite the deeper moisture, rain chances will remain pretty low thanks to the influence of a strong ridge of high pressure. No rain today, but the remnants of Hurricane Norma moving through Mexico and into West Texas could lead to a few showers on the west side of Houston tomorrow. East of Houston, don't expect anything but I can't rule out a passing shower. A few passing showers will remain a possibility through mid week, but they should be brief when and where they do occur and rain won't be too heavy. A weak trough of low pressure could get close enough to the Houston area to spark a higher chance of showers and a few thunderstorms on Thursday, but that is highly uncertain at this point. Higher rain chances, again, will be on the west side of town.

The next good chance of rain and push of colder temperatures looks to hold off until early to mid next week as the models keep trending later. Beyond Thursday, the forecast can certainly change though.

Even though we'll be dealing with a bit of heat and humidity through the week, thank God we aren't seeing any flooding in the forecast, which can certainly happen this time of year. God Bless and have a great Lord's Day and start to your week.
